| Sears In-Store Opportunities for Customer support of Boys and Girls Clubs
Sears Canada and its stores across Canada provide significant support to Boys and Girls Clubs every year to assist them with offering enriching after-school programs to thousands of children and youth across Canada, who are in need of a safe, enriching place to go between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Sears has also created opportunities for Sears customers to support the work of Boys and Girls Clubs in providing enriching after-school opportunities.
Check the calendar of Sears 2010 in-store events and be sure to visit your local Sears store to participate and support Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada!
Round Up Your Bill™ Four times a year, Sears customers are asked to round up their bill to the nearest dollar in support of local charities, including Boys and Girls Clubs. Sears Canada matches this amount and donates these funds and those raised by participating local Sears stores to Boys and Girls Clubs and other charitable after-school programs.
Children's Plush Toy Sale
To celebrate Easter and the Christmas Holiday, Sears sells two seasonal plush toys for children and donates $0.50 from each sale to Sears Stores' local charity partners, including many Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada chapters, to support our work with children and youth. Here's how you can help to support these programs.
Riley™ (Easter 2010)

Sears Tree of Wishes™ Every Holiday season, over 3,000 Boys and Girls Club members across Canada have their Holiday wishes come true, thanks to Sears customers and the "Sears Tree of Wishes" campaign. Customers can choose a Gold Star from the "Sears Tree of Wishes" and purchase a special 'Wish Gift’ to help a child's Christmas wish come true. Each Sears store’s local charity partner, over 40 of which are Boys and Girls Clubs, then distributes the gifts to children in need. Visit your local Sears Retail, Home, Outlet and selected Dealer stores throughout November and December to make a child's Christmas a little brighter.
Sears Club™ Every time customers use their Sears Card they earn Sears Club™ Points for almost every dollar spent. Sears Club is proud to offer its members, “the reward of giving”, ensuring that children and youth have access to safe, supportive environments where they can experience new opportunities, develop healthy relationships with peers and caring adults and learn healthy habits and essential skills for life. In fact, Sears will match customers’ gifts so kids benefit even more.
Here’s how it works. Every time you use your Sears Card, you earn valuable Sears Club points. Once you have accumulated 1,000 Sears Club points, you can donate them to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. All you have to do is call 1-800-265-3675 to have the points transferred. Sears will then match your donation of points (one point for every one point donated, up to a total of $60,000.00 annually), convert the points to cash and donate them to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. |
