New national program promotes lifelong healthy habits for the mind, body and soul
(Hamilton, ON) - Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada launched Triple Play, a new, national health and wellness program for Club members aged 6 to 18. Triple Play empowers and inspires the learning of healthy habits, increases participation in daily physical activities, and engages youth in positive interactions with others. The program is made possible by a $150,000 grant from The Coca-Cola Foundation.
This year, 21 local Boys and Girls Clubs will offer Triple Play—a program designed by Boys and Girls Clubs of America to promote wellness of the mind, body and soul.
“Eating right, keeping fit and forming positive relationships are fundamental activities at our Boys and Girls Clubs,” says Marlene Deboisbriand, Interim President and CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. “With the generous support of The Coca-Cola Foundation, we can now do more to help children and youth build a foundation for lifelong health and wellness.”
“Our company is committed to providing opportunities for people to live healthier, happier lives,” says Rich Leslie, Vice-President of National Sales, Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada. “We’re a strong supporter of Boys and Girls Clubs and this partnership allows Coca-Cola to inspire, empower and engage youth in pursuing healthier lifestyles.”
