Meet Busayo and Faith<\/strong><\/div>\n
BGC Winnipeg members, Busayo and Faith, led a school-wide initiative to raise awareness about Black History Month, important Black leaders, and Black culture, with funding from a BGC Canada\u2019s Anti-Racism Initiative Microgrant, sponsored by Hyundai Canada<\/span> and Best Buy Canada<\/span>. Meet Ren\u00e9<\/b><\/div>\n
Ren\u00e9, from BGC Maison Kekpart, is actively helping youth overcome barriers through the Newcomers Program, where youth are mentored and become leaders for their BIPOC peers who are new to the community. Meet Sentsetsa<\/b><\/div>\n
Sentsetsa has been a mentor, role model, and leader at BGC Edmonton for over 15 years! She is attentive to the needs of families and children who walk through the Club’s doors and has taught them to value and take pride in their culture. Meet Chester
<\/strong>As Executive Director of BGC Cape Breton, Chester is doing everything he can to ensure Club doors stay open\u2014he wears many different hats and fills in where he can so the Club continues to run smoothly throughout the pandemic. Meet Ismael
<\/strong>Youth member, Ismael, from @BGC <\/span>St. Alban\u2019s Club is a great leader, mentor, and big brother! Having grown up in Toronto, he understands the barriers Black youth and youth of colour face every day.
