As someone of Haitian origin, Ren\u00e9 understands the barriers young people face when they arrive in a new community.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Ren\u00e9\u2019s role in the Newcomers Program is to recruit youth and help them become leaders so they can welcome their BIPOC peers when they arrive in their community.
