BGC Airdrie Club and Airdrie Pride<\/a> wanted to create a space for 2S & LGBTQIA+ youth to celebrate the end of the school year, so they worked in tandem to host a Queer Prom on June 4, 2022.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hosted at the BGC Airdrie Club<\/a> location by Club staff who volunteered their time, the Queer Prom event provided for youth a space to find connections in their community\u2014something that might have been a barrier for 2S & LGBTQIA+ youth in Airdrie.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event successfully created a space for 116 youth from all over Southern Alberta. <\/span>Thank you, BGC Airdrie Club, for continuing to turn barriers into opportunities for youth.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
