At BGC Canada, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to pursue their goals after high school.

BGC Canada scholarships are unique because they recognize the contribution of youth at local Clubs.
Selection goes beyond academics to include leadership, community involvement, civic engagement, and participation in their local Club, helping reduce barriers and support youth who may not qualify for traditional scholarships.
Through national scholarship opportunities, BGC Canada supports Club members as they pursue college, university, CEGEP, apprenticeships, trades, and other accredited post-secondary pathways. These investments help young people build confidence, expand their options, and move closer to long-term success.

A meaningful opportunity for partners
Scholarship support is one way our partners can invest in the potential of young people across Canada.
By funding scholarships, partners help reduce financial barriers, celebrate achievement, and create access to education and career success for deserving youth.
Partner-supported scholarships also demonstrate a shared commitment to:

Advancing
equitable access to education

Supporting
youth aspirations and achievement

Investing
in the next generation of leaders, changemakers, and skilled professionals

How scholarships work

BGC Canada offers national scholarship opportunities for eligible Club youth, including programs supported by generous funding partners.
Applications are submitted through local BGC Clubs, which identify and support young people through the process. This ensures Club staff can guide applicants and help connect them with the opportunities best suited to their goals.
Types of scholarship opportunities
BGC Canada’s scholarship offerings may include:
- national BGC Canada scholarships
- partner-funded scholarships
- recognition-based opportunities connected to youth leadership programs, such as Youth of the Year
Programs and timelines may vary from year to year based on available funding and partnership support.

Youth of the Year
Youth of the Year is BGC Canada’s national leadership recognition program, celebrating young people who demonstrate outstanding leadership, service, and achievement in their Clubs, schools, and communities.
