Calling kid chefs! - BGC Canada

You’ve seen the cookbooks. You’ve seen the YTV ads. Our Kid Food Nation recipe competition is back!

The contest asks kids ages 7 – 13 across the country to share original, healthy recipes that highlight their culture or their Canadian pride.

With the help of their parent/guardian, kid chefs can submit their recipe at:

www.kidfoodnation.com

Submissions for the 2019 competition will be accepted until March 31, 2019.

Winners and their families will attend our Kid Food Nation gala this fall in Toronto, where they’ll rub shoulders with famous Canadians and have their recipes featured on the gala menu. Last year, Minister of Health Ginette Petitpas Taylor and Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam both attended the event, along with YTV host Carlos Bustamante.

The 2019 winners will also be published in our third Kid Food Nation cookbook, which features professional photos of each winner and beautiful photos of their recipes!

Watch out for Kid Food Nation media spots on Corus Entertainment’s many channels, including YTV, Disney, and Teletoon, and on BGCC’s social media channels @BGCCAN.

Generously funded by the Government of Canada, Kid Food Nation is created through the partnership of PC Children’s Charity, Corus Entertainment, and BGC Canada.
