As trusted community organizations, BGC Clubs create opportunities that help young people and their families overcome barriers. Our rallying cry is No. More. Barriers. We celebrate difference and give Club youth and staff a platform to tell their stories.
Every February, people across Canada are invited to participate in Black History Month to honour the legacy of Black Canadians and the amazing work of individuals and organizations that uplift and champion Black communities—and we want to share our Club stories!
BGC Canada would like to acknowledge how your Club’s staff, volunteers, board members, or youth have helped or are helping Black youth, staff, or volunteers overcome barriers in your Club and community.
Stories about inspiring individuals or groups or Club activities that have made a difference for your local Black community will be featured on BGC Canada’s social media, websites, and SCOOP throughout the month of February and beyond.
Club staff members can nominate others or themselves and share Club activities by filling out the form below.
