
BGC Responses to COVID-19

Thank you to the caring companies that have donated to our emergency relief fund.

Our most significant nutrition partner, President’s Choice Children’s Charity has donated $1 million in emergency funding to help BGC fight kids’ hunger and respond to the increased need for food programs. In addition, PCCC has also allowed Clubs to adapt current resources to offer things like grab-and-go snacks, community-led food initiatives, and gift card deliveries to struggling families.

Quickly answering our call for support, The Coca-Cola Foundation was the first organization to support the Emergency Relief Fund. Their donation of $750,000 USD is helping BGC provide critical care packages for families, childcare for essential workers, mental health services, virtual programming, and other measures to provide safety and stability during this critical time.

Hyundai Canada has donated $100,000 to our Emergency Relief Fund to support essential services for youth affected by the current crisis. Additionally, Hyundai vehicles are being provided to Clubs to assist in essential deliveries and distribution.

Through their easybites program, goeasy has set a goal to renovate or upgrade kitchens at every BGC. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, goeasy has repurposed this year’s planned funding to donate $150,000 to our Emergency Relief Fund.

Mondelēz Canada has donated over $100,000 worth of financial and in-kind support to our Emergency Relief Fund, which helps BGC respond to the needs of families in their communities.

M&M Food Market has donated $125,000 worth of gift cards to our Emergency Relief Fund, which will allow Clubs to help over 4,000 families purchase meals in their local communities.

The Indigo Love of Reading Foundation is promoting literacy for children and supporting Canadian families through a $100,000 donation that provides discounts and free shipping on kids and teen books.

Representing their many brands, Recipe Unlimited has generously donated $125,000 to our Emergency Relief Fund, which offers much-needed support to Clubs and communities nationwide.

With their donation of $190,000, Lenovo and Best Buy have teamed up to provide Chromebooks that are helping Clubs and families nationwide meet their technology needs and access virtual supports.
